Strategic Plan

Cranberry Public Library's mission is to strengthen our community by serving as a hub for information, inspiration and enrichment. As our guide for accomplishing that mission, here is our strategic plan for the next five years (2021-2025).

Looking back, as we plan for the future!

In 1973, the Cranberry Public Library occupied 120 square feet in the Municipal Building with a collection of two hundred books. The Township population was approximately 7,485 persons.

In March 1991, the library moved into its present facility and occupied 11,000 square feet in the Cranberry Township Municipal Center. With the new children's wing addition, which was added in January 2002, the library now encompasses 15,300 square feet with an expanded computer/reference lab.

The current number of registered patrons is 26,093 and our annual circulation is nearly 400,000 items. The number of items in the library is over 93,000. The Township population is over 28,000.

The Library is governed by a seven member Board of Trustees, appointed by the Cranberry Township Board of Supervisors. The trustees serve a three year term. Board of Trustees
